This might seem a bit of a rash statement to make (some may not even understand it), but I hereby proclaim that any websites that I work on may or may not work correctly in Internet Explorer 6.0.
So there!
When a browser is over 10 years old, slow, prone to malware attacks, incompatible with modern standards and doesn’t even support basic things like transparent .png’s, its surely time to move on.
Internet Explorer 6.0 reminds me of a relative who always turns up at your party unannounced, gets drunk and dances in an embarrassing manner to 80′s classics whilst complaining they don’t make ‘em like they used to. And then refuses to leave.
Although in this last case, it seems that IE6.0 is actually leaving, for good – finally! And for a different take on the browser usage here.
A friend of mine attended a conference recently where a lead Microsoft developer was giving a speech and he effectively said:
(web) developers should bill Microsoft for making them code for Internet Explorer 6.0 because it is so bad.
equally they (Microsoft) are trying to eradicate it (IE6.0) because it is such a headache
I mean, that speaks volumes doesn’t it!!
